BookExpo America, the annual book industry trade show, provides booksellers with opportunities to network with colleagues, preview publishers' upcoming titles, and discover new vendors. Programming for attendees includes a multitude of education and information sessions, as well as author breakfasts, lunches, and other special events. Booksellers register for the trade show directly with BEA.
The American Booksellers Association presents educational sessions at BEA that are designed for independent booksellers and are open to all BEA attendees. This year, in order to maximize members’ interactions with the industry as a whole, ABA Education is being developed jointly with BEA, and sessions will be presented both on Wednesday, May 29, as well as at other times during the course of the show. What was known as the ABA Day of Education has evolved to become Bookselling Today & ABA Education.

Annual Meeting and Town Hall
The American Booksellers Association will hold its 2013 Membership Meeting from 4:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. on Thursday, May 30, in Room 1E12/13. All ABA members are encouraged to attend the meeting, which will feature a report from the Board of Directors and senior staff on the association’s activities over the past year as well as updates on new and ongoing initiatives.
The Annual Meeting will be preceded by the Town Hall, from 3:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m., also in Room 1E12/13. The Town Hall provides booksellers with the opportunity to express opinions and share ideas with the Board and staff in a less formal setting than the Membership Meeting.
To provide an opportunity for as many members as possible to speak during the Town Hall, a sign-up sheet will be prominently displayed starting Wednesday morning, May 29, in the ABA Indie Bookseller Lounge, in Booth MR2902
